Fish Handling Labourer

Hermitage Processing Inc., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., is seeking a Fish Handling Labourer to join our processing team in Hermitage, Newfoundland and Labrador. This is a seasonal position paying $18.61 per hour. Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America, and a Platinum Member of Canada's Best Managed Companies program.

Responsibilities:

- Receive, handle, sort, grade, weigh, transfer, and prepare fish and seafood products for storage, processing, and shipment

- Move products between receiving, holding, processing, storage, and loading areas

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment

- Load and unload trucks and transportation vehicles

- Ice, pack, palletize, and stage products for transport

- Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and product traceability

- Clean and sanitize tanks, equipment, work areas, coolers, and storage facilities

- Follow all food safety and product quality standards
