Momentum Indoor Climbing is a community-driven indoor climbing company with locations across Utah, Texas, and Washington. Responsibilities
~1 min read- Set-up and clean-up birthday party area/supplies
- Supervise and engage with groups of up to 10 kids (ages 4+)
- Facilitate games and interactive activities
- Ensure participants’ safety by enforcing Momentum policies in a friendly and professional manner
- Interact with parents and guests to provide excellent customer service
- Assess participants' skill levels and provide appropriate support
- Supervise and engage with both youth and adult participants based on the booking
- Facilitate group climbing experiences based on the selected option:
- Bouldering Only: Ensure safety, provide guidance on proper bouldering techniques, and supervise participants
- Maintain a working knowledge of gym programs and offerings to provide accurate information
- Ensure participants are using proper equipment and following Momentum's climbing safety procedures
Requirements
~1 min read- At least 6 months of climbing experience with a strong enthusiasm for climbing
- Comfortable working with children ages 3-18
- Previous experience in coaching, programming, or facilitation is a plus, but not required
- Ability to prioritize the needs of participants and create a safe, fun environment
- Ability to maintain professional conduct while engaging with children, parents, and other staff members
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to empathize and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Able to work in a loud, high-energy environment on a regular basis
- Comfortable speaking in front of and providing instruction to large groups
- Comfortable working at height and moving up and down a climbing wall
- Must be able to climb confidently and safely to heights to perform rescues
- Able to stand, walk, and work on unstable and uneven surfaces for long periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Part-time
- Weekend availability for Birthday Parties and Groups required
