This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong hands-on technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and experience working in regulated environments.
This position supports systems and data subject to FedRAMP and other U.S. government compliance requirements. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
This role will be based remotely in the United States with Eastern Time business hours.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Design, build, and maintain Salesforce solutions across sales, service, customer, and operational workflows
- →Implement functionality using Salesforce configuration, Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and platform automation
- →Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems
- →Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
- →Participate in technical design reviews, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support
- →Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, integrations, data integrity, and system performance
- →Create and maintain technical documentation, support UAT and regression testing, and assist with user enablement
- →Ensure all solutions comply with Salesforce best practices, internal security standards, and regulatory requirements
- →Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and analysis, while adhering to security and compliance guidelines
- →Technical Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of Salesforce features using a mix of declarative and programmatic solutions
- →Secure Engineering: Design and implement solutions that meet FedRAMP, security, and compliance requirements, including least-privilege access and auditability
- →Integration Design: Build and maintain secure integrations between Salesforce and downstream systems
- →Engineering Excellence: Maintain high standards for code quality, test coverage, and modular design
- →Platform Optimization: Identify and remediate performance issues and technical debt
- →Collaboration & Influence: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to shared engineering standards and best practices
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs
- Experience designing and supporting complex Salesforce automation and business workflows
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external enterprise systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Salesforce release management
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data governance, and implementation best practices
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification required
- U.S. citizenship is required due to federal compliance obligations
- Prior experience supporting FedRAMP-authorized or U.S. government environments
- Experience implementing role-based access control, field-level security, encryption, and audit logging in Salesforce
- Familiarity with Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, or Git-based DevOps workflows
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Visualforce
- Experience supporting UAT, regression testing, and business enablement in regulated environments
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in a secure and compliant manner
- In 3 months: Gain a strong understanding of the Salesforce architecture, compliance constraints, and business processes
- In 6 months: Deliver secure, compliant enhancements and become a dependable contributor to key initiatives
- In 12 months: Be recognized as a trusted Salesforce SME, influencing platform design, security posture, and engineering standards

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
