Adjunct, Printmaking

The Department of Art & Design at Monmouth University invites applications for an Adjunct Professor of Printmaking position beginning in Spring 2027. The successful candidate will teach with demonstrated hands-on expertise in Intaglio, Photo-Emulsion Silk-Screen, and/or Book Arts. 

Part-time Adjunct Faculty members typically teach 3-6 credits per semester, with class schedules determined based on departmental needs and candidate availability. Courses are taught in person at the West Long Branch campus. Adjunct positions remain posted continuously to expand the university’s pool of qualified adjunct faculty. • MFA in Printmaking, Studio Art, or a closely related field. 
• Demonstrated hands-on studio expertise in a combination of Intaglio, Photo-Emulsion Silk-Screen, and/or Book Arts.
• Ability to safely manage a printmaking studio environment, including proper operation of equipment and responsible handling of chemical and photographic processes to OSHA and EPA standards, and purchasing of supplies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. 

• Prior college-level teaching experience in printmaking and studio.
• Active professional studio practice with a current exhibition and/or publication.
• Experience integrating digital imaging or other contemporary technologies with traditional printmaking processes.
• Experience with sustainable water-soluble printmaking.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in studio.
