We are accepting applications for Marketing Communications/PR Interns who enjoy supporting others in an array of projects, including marketing, social media, public relations, administration, and more. You’ll gain valuable professional experience by working on a variety of challenging client projects that require both creativity and technical finesse. Our clients look to us for strategic communications guidance, branding, social media and digital marketing, public relations, and capacity building. 

The ideal candidate is at least a third year in college and is highly organized, well-rounded, communicative, collaborative, works well on deadline, and is skilled at managing project timelines. We want whoever lands this position to have a passion for storytelling, a desire for continual learning and growth, and an infectious positive attitude. 

This position may support Moonsail North account team members in providing a full range of services to clients, including, but not limited to:

• Project manage fast-moving, complex campaigns.
• Written deliverables on deadline.
• Monitor and support social media accounts.
• Content creation support.
  
• Research and other duties as assigned.
• Ensure that DEI and accessibility are considered and reflected in all of your work.

Platforms that we may expect you to learn how to use (current experience with these is a plus):

• Project management platforms, such as Trello and Airtable 
• Media monitoring platforms, such as Meltwater or Cision 
• Social media management platforms, such as Sprout Social 
• E-newsletter platforms, such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact 
• Microsoft Office Suite 
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Content management systems, such as WordPress
• Social media networks (native UI)
• Customer relationship management databases

Desired skills:

• Excellent time and project management
• Strong, flexible, crisp, and clean writing 
• Confidence and comfort with handling media databases, pitch calls, online research, and developing social media content
• Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
  
• Ability to work at a fast pace
• Collaborative and communicative work style 
• High-quality work that needs minimal editing
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related fields
• Got some flair for visual storytelling via videography, photography, or graphic design? That’s a welcome competitive edge.

This position is based in Moonsail North's offices in Lansing, Michigan, with the flexibility to work remotely.
