Software Developer
Quick Summary
Design and develop custom applications and tools that solve real operational problems and accelerate the business. Success is measured by adoption and outcomes on the floor, not lines of code.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems,
Moonshot Labs builds the internal software that accelerates Moonshot's manufacturing business. As a Software Developer, you'll design and build custom tools, applications, and AI agents that have immediate, practical application in a live production environment. The work is fast-moving and high-impact: find where the business is slowed down, build something that removes the friction, and get it into people's hands in days, not quarters. This spans operational software, data and ERP integration, automation, and practical AI agents that take real work off people's plates. It's a rare chance to build greenfield software whose value shows up directly in how fast and how well the company runs.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Build software with immediate impact: Design and develop custom applications and tools that solve real operational problems and accelerate the business. Success is measured by adoption and outcomes on the floor, not lines of code.
- →Build practical AI agents: Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automations that handle real workflows, document and data processing, and decision support, putting time back in people's hands and extending what a small team can do.
- →Turn data into action: Leverage direct SQL and ERP data, along with other systems, to create real-time operational visibility and power the tools you build. ERP extension and reporting are part of the job, but the goal is the decision the data enables, not the report itself.
- →Cross-functional collaboration: Work directly with leaders across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and HR to understand pain points and translate business needs into working software.
- →Rapid iteration and code quality: Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code that supports fast iteration and continuous improvement based on direct user feedback.
- →APIs and integrations: Implement APIs and integrations that connect internal software with factory-floor hardware, third-party platforms, AI services, and business intelligence tools.
- →Technical contribution: Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and system architecture discussions to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Moonshot Labs' roadmap.
