Our client is a precision manufacturing company in North York, Ontario supplying critical components to the nuclear sector. They are hiring an NDT Inspector (CGSB Certified) for their quality control team, with two openings, one on the day shift and one on the afternoon shift. This is an urgent hire with a July start.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, QC Inspection, you will inspect precision components using NDT and CMM processes, identify defects, and ensure dimensional accuracy, playing a vital role in the company's quality control and assurance processes.

  • Perform NDT inspections using methods such as ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MPI), liquid penetrant (PT), radiographic (RT), borescope, and/or eddy current (ET)
  • Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
  • Prepare NDT reports and maintain detailed inspection records
  • Operate CMM equipment and write CMM programs for dimensional inspection
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASNT and ISO 9712
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams on product quality and potential defects

Requirements

  • CGSB certification in NDT methods, Level II or III
  • Proven experience operating CMM equipment and writing CMM programs
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Ability to work fully on site in North York and lift up to 50 lbs in a shop environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality standards
  • Familiarity with SPC and quality documentation

A competitive hourly rate with two openings to choose from, day shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) or afternoon shift (4:30 pm to 1:00 am). Afternoon shift hires complete approximately three months of day shift training first. Immediate start.
