Maintenance Technician

Experienced Maintenance Technician Needed HVAC & Plumbing Skills Required     What You’ll Be Doing Step into a hands-on role where your skills directly impact the resident experience. Our apartment community is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician with strong HVAC and plumbing experience who enjoys solving problems, staying busy, and taking pride in their work. This role supports a 160-unit community and partners closely with a Senior Service Manager overseeing multiple sites so staying organized, responsive, and proactive is key.   As a Maintenance Technician at Morgan Properties, you will: Troubleshoot and complete service requests with a strong focus on HVAC, plumbing repairs, and drywall/carpentry Handle daily work orders, unit turns (make-readies), and preventative maintenance Maintain interior and exterior areas to company standards and safety guidelines Respond promptly to service tickets and communicate clearly with residents and office staff Assist with maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the community   Compensation & Incentives: Base Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour Up to 50% Rent Discount Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Generous Paid Time Off, including 10 holidays per year and sick leave   Hours & Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Paid rotating on-call participation required Must be available and prepared for emergency service needs *Schedule subject to change based on business needs   What We’ll Expect From You: Hands-on experience with HVAC and plumbing (required) Experience with drywall, basic carpentry, and general maintenance repairs Ability to manage service requests and units turn in a fast-paced environment Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle Ability to commute within 30 minutes of East Brunswick, NJ 1–3 years of related experience or a combination of education and hands-on training EPA/HVAC certification preferred   #AC6112
