Ready to take your experience in risk, audit, finance controls or governance to the next level?
Join our Budapest team and step into a role where you can take ownership, influence senior stakeholders and make a visible impact across Finance.
You’ll help strengthen how we govern and monitor Finance models, tools and End-User Computing (EUC) solutions, working with colleagues across an international organization to improve controls, identify emerging risks and deliver smarter ways of working.
You don’t need to be a model-risk specialist. We’re looking for strong transferable experience, an analytical mindset and the confidence to ask the right questions, challenge constructively and drive change.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.
Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.
What you’ll do in the role:
* Drive Model, Tool and EUC monitoring across Finance and help streamline the execution of associated control frameworks, governance standards, policies and procedures.
* Partner with stakeholders to maintain accurate and effective Model, Tool and EUC inventories.
* Monitor documentation, certification, attestations and exceptions, ensuring requirements are completed and issues are escalated appropriately.
* Strengthen Model Input/Output Controls, Candidate Determination and entitlement-management activities.
* Lead continuous monitoring discussions with business teams, identify emerging risks and drive actions through to completion.
* Coordinate Finance MOC & TROF reporting and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders and senior leadership.
* Contribute to CCAR and DFAST-driven enhancements and broader improvements to the control environment.
* Manage project timelines, priorities and dependencies, proactively escalating risks that could impact delivery or agreed scope.
* Ensure requirements, assumptions, decisions and changes in scope are clearly documented.
* Provide input and insight into materials for model committees, regulatory examinations and information requests, supporting accurate and timely delivery.
* Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and strengthen existing monitoring and governance processes.
* Communicate effectively across functional teams and senior stakeholders, helping create a culture of strong risk management, collaboration and accountability.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* A strong risk and controls mindset, with the ability to identify emerging risks and turn insights into action.
* Confidence to challenge, influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience working with governance, monitoring, controls, data quality or management reporting.
* Strong Excel and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear messages.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, establish timelines and drive actions through to completion.
* Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to documentation and follow-up.
* Clear communication skills and confidence working with senior and international stakeholders.
* A proactive mindset and genuine interest in making processes simpler, smarter and more effective.
* A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to lead by example and contribute positively to the wider team culture.
