With deep roots in DARPA research, Silvus Technologies develops world-class advanced communications technologies that are reshaping the tactical communications landscape. From pure line-of-sight to extreme non-line-of-sight, Silvus radios form a self-healing, self-forming mesh network, enabling secure and reliable connectivity, including video and high-bandwidth data.
The Electronics Quality Technician-I reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing.
This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and functional inspection of PCB assemblies under magnification per IPC-J-STD 001 standards.

Conduct basic rework and soldering on through-hole and surface mount components.

Interpret basic schematics and assembly drawings to support inspection and rework tasks.

Assist in production testing and record results accurately.

Maintain ESD-safe work areas and follow established cleanroom and handling procedures.

Support calibration and maintenance of quality lab equipment.

Document defects and assist in quality data collection for analysis.

Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
Requirements
~1 min readHigh School Diploma or GED with a minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics with no prior experience required.
Proficiency in the use of soldering equipment such as hand irons, bottom burners, and hot air stations.
Familiar with the use of multi-meters and basic hand tools.
Comfortable reading wiring diagrams or simple circuit drawings.

Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
The employee is required to do the following while performing the duties of this job:
Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
Walking/Moving in the labs.
