Clinical Coordinator-Mount Sinai Union Square Days (Medical Assistant)

Coordinator will assist Practice Manager in the development of MOS personnel and the monitoring of formulary expenditures for clinical use. Candidate will additionally assist in ensuring streamlined patient flow, while assisting administrative staff in the resolution of complex patient related issues related to scheduling, transportation, and financial hardship. Further, candidate will assist in the creation and preparation of MOS coverage schedules to ensure a proper balance between clinical and administrative duties.

1. Patient flow management & coordination

3. Development of Medical Office Specialist (MOS) workflows and protocols

4. Training and Development of MOS staff

5. Resolution of complex patient related issues in the areas of financial hardship, scheduling and transportation

6. Creation of MOS coverage schedules

7. Clinical inventory maintenance and tracking

8. Ensures adherence to Health System best practices related to MOS clinical practices

9. Appraises supervisors of problems beyond the scope of own knowledge and expertise

10. Assists with procedures as necessary including but not limited to echocardiogram, sigmoidoscopy, proctoscopy, nasal scope, colposcopy, biopsy, LEEP, laser and cystoscopy
