Provide leadership and oversight of Blood Bank operations at both Elmhurst and Queens hospitals.
Ensure patient safety and quality of blood bank operations.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including those of the AABB, New York State Department of Health, and College of American Pathologists.
Supervise laboratory operations, policies and quality programs.
Collaborate with hospital and laboratory leadership.

MD/DO degree
Board certified in Clinical Pathology or Combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
Board certification in Blood Banking transfusion medicine would be a plus, with at least one year of training and/or experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine or
American Board of Internal Medicine certification in Hematology with at least one year of training and/or experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine
Valid New York State License and Medicaid number
NY State CoQ in transfusion services and immunohematology
Experience overseeing Clinical Pathology operations and regulatory compliance is a plus
