Postdoctoral Fellow-MSH

The Ethylin Wang Jabs and Meng Wu labs at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow(s) for several ongoing projects to investigate biologic regulators, pathways and networks involved in embryogenesis. Applicants should have wet laboratory experience in molecular, cell and/or animal model systems to study normal and abnormal craniofacial, limb, and/or neural tube development. These projects involve a broad array of well-established techniques such as mouse genetics, CRISPR gene editing, culturing and differentiation of iPSCs and organoids, microdissection of tissues, RNA-seq, and single-cell sequencing technologies, and/or other specialized approaches to study gene regulation at the cellular and tissue level. The candidate will work within an integrated, multidisciplinary team of experimental and computational scientists at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. A  Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree is required (a degree in developmental biology, genomics, bioinformatics, and/or computer science is desired). The successful applicant will learn wet and/or data mining skills, have a strong work ethic and attention to detail, excellent verbal and communication skills, and ability to work in a collaborative team setting. The faculty are dedicated to mentoring members of the laboratory toward their career goals.
