Details of Research Project: 

You will support the characterization of the in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo virus: host interactions of both arthropod borne viruses, as well as paramyxoviruses. In vivo models will include mice and hamsters. Methods to be included are cell culture of primary cells, molecular biology, -omics technologies, and development of novel model systems to study virus host interactions. Finally, you will help train other individuals and personnel in the laboratory on performing molecular biology assays, western-blots, imaging, as well as Next-Generation Sequencing and library preparation.
