The Program Manager II, Marketing and Communications is responsible for the coordination, and execution of marketing, communications, and physician engagement initiatives that support the strategic goals of the Department of Otolaryngology. This position serves as the primary liaison between the department, referring providers, hospital marketing teams, and community partners to enhance the visibility and growth of the department’s clinical, academic, and research missions.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote the department’s clinical services, physicians, academic programs, and research initiatives.
- Manage departmental marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, posters, digital advertisements, presentations, and patient education resources.
- Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of marketing materials - including brochures, flyers, newsletters, posters, digital advertisements, presentations, and patient education resources in - collaboration with the institutional marketing and communications teams.
- Draft and edit content for internal and external communications, including announcements, email campaigns, and departmental publications.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all departmental communications
- Maintain and regularly update departmental websites to ensure accurate and current information regarding providers, services, locations, faculty biographies, research programs, and educational offerings.
- Coordinate the creation and publication of web content, including physician profiles, news stories, program highlights, and event announcements.
- Monitor website analytics and metrics.
- Manage the department’s social media strategy across approved institutional platforms.
Create engaging content that highlights faculty achievements, research discoveries, educational programs, patient success stories, and community outreach initiatives. - Monitor social media performance metrics and identify opportunities to increase audience engagement and visibility.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians, affiliated providers, and community partners to strengthen referral networks.
- Assist in the coordination of outreach initiatives, including targeted communications, informational campaigns, and physician engagement activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote new providers, clinical programs, and service lines.
- Maintain databases and distribution lists for referring providers and outreach communications.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute educational and networking events for referring physicians, community providers, and healthcare partners.
- Organize physician dinners, lectures and other events.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate multiple marketing and outreach initiatives simultaneously.
- Collaborate with institutional marketing, public relations, legal, compliance, and digital media teams to ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or combination of applicable experience and education
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, physician relations, communications, program management, or a related field.
- Experience within an academic medical center or healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing websites, digital content, social media platforms, and event planning.
