Psychiatry - Assertive Community Treatment – Physician – NYC Health + Hospitals – Queens Hospital Center - Queens, NY

All faculty have an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

The ACT psychiatrist is part of a multidisciplinary team and has overall clinical responsibility for monitoring client treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. The ACT psychiatrist provides psychiatric assessment and treatment in the community and coordinates the client’s medical care with their psychiatric treatment. This is a full-time position with 32 hours in ACT and 8 hours in the CPEP. Queens Hospital Center has a Residency Training Program with opportunities to teach and mentor psychiatry residents and medical students.

The appropriate candidate should have an understanding of the treatment of severe and persistent mental illness and be knowledgeable about the ACT model of care. 

This position requires current New York State License, Medicaid number and DEA number in order to practice medicine.
