Responsibilities

Education & Experience

High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive paint required
PPG Envirobase and PPG Colormatch System trained required
Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions Required
Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of Factory Paint Standards
Understanding of best practice regarding Body Shop prepping and painting
Use of hand-held and power tools required
Ability to drive both automatic and stick shift vehicles Required
Use of hand-held and power tools Required
Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance required
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems required

Physical Requirements

Constantly use right and left foot controls
Constant use of right and left hands for simple and firm grasping
Constant use of right and left hands for fine manipulation
Constant lift and carry usual 15 lbs, max 35 lbs
Stand, walk 5+ hours per day
Climb, reach over shoulder, kneel, balance, push, pull, squat, crawl, jump 1-3 hours per day
Drive, bend, stoop, crouch frequently 3-5 hours per day

Working and Environmental Conditions

Will be working with Buffer Machine, PPG Color Machine, and scanners

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting at Port Hueneme, CA

Exposure to loud noises from vehicles and heavy machinery
Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions
Exposure to chemicals/fumes and paint booth
