Workshop Supervisor (Ref.: 2600013E)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of technical staff to carry out inspections, component replacements and repairs, as well as supervising and coordinating both scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance activities
• Ensure readiness and availability of spare, tools and equipment for the maintenance task, and supervise activities including modification and improvement works
• Ensure readiness, availability and function performance of rolling stock assets to meet the requirements of engineering works
• Manage Depot Shunting Operators to execute depot shunting and engineering trains formation in a safe and efficient manner
• Manage, supervise and collaborate with contractors to ensure that works are executed in a coordinated manner and meet engineering work requirements
• Conduct investigation and analyse failures of sophisticated on-track vehicles and determine corresponding rectification work 
• Ensure mobility and flexibility in supporting Locomotive & Auxiliary Vehicle maintenance activities 
   

Requirements

• Higher Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
• Sound technical knowledge for investigation and analysis

• Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills 

   

Remarks

• Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
