Position Title   : SQL Developer        

Corporate Title: Analyst

Internal Title : Senior Analyst

Reporting to    : MGS Vice President           

Experience : 6-8 years

Location          : MGS - Bengaluru                 

Purpose: To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies.

Responsibilities will include:

• →Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelines
• →Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load data
• →Optimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistency
• →Providing database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• →Implement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policies
• →Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions
• →Participate in code reviews and document change made in the required format
• →Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutions

Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functions
• Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema design
• Experience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysis
• Familiarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL)
• Strong handon SSIS development experience.
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automation
• Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution
• Experience with multiple database platforms e.g. SQL Server, Oracle and SnowFlake
• Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
