As a member of MUFG’s Capital Markets Group (“CMG”), the successful candidate will be responsible for distribution of syndicated loan product to institutional and bank investors across Australia and New Zealand. The role includes direct investor coverage and active engagement with market participants. The professional will work closely with origination teams, regional MUFG distribution desks, relationship managers and product teams to execute primary and secondary loan transactions and expand MUFG’s distribution capabilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing investor connectivity and driving distribution outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with active loan market investors focusing on institutional investors
  • Lead the distribution of private credit and syndicated loan transactions, with a particular focus on transactions originating from CMG’s Specialised Finance and Leveraged Capital Markets teams
  • Provide market colour and investor feedback to support client discussions
  • Partner with CMG colleagues and product teams to optimize transaction structures and distribution strategies
  • Contribute to the growth of MUFG's global private-side distribution platform

Responsibilities

  • →Active coverage of institutional investors across Asia through regular dialogue and transaction discussions
  • →Flexibility for bank investor coverage would be a plus
  • →Maintain a comprehensive understanding of investor requirements in terms of mandates, risk appetite, structures and pricing
  • →Lead distribution efforts for private credit and syndicated loans, including coordinating and managing bookrunning activities, namely:
    • →Preparing various syndication materials (i.e. invitation letters, commitment letters, syndication strategies, DebtDomain, NDAs, etc);
    • →Sounding and physical bookrunning of investors throughout the syndication;
    • →Assisting with transaction execution from mandate phase to financial close.
  • →Collaborate with MUFG distribution teams, regionally and globally, to maximise distribution outcomes, obtain latest market insights and drive MUFG's OtD strategy
  • →Leverage on both product and investor appetite understandings to generate distribution solution
  • →Opining on pricing and liquidity analysis for prospective transactions and pitch books
  • →Preparation of underwriting applications and other internal requirements to facilitate seamless deal execution
  • →Provide regular feedback on investor appetite, including to support client discussions
  • →Drive various CMG strategic distribution initiatives including evaluating investor appetite for bespoke deal opportunities and building new distribution pathways
  • →Support local secondary sales efforts including opining on the saleability of assets, identifying suitable investors and managing execution of the sale
  • →Contribute to the maintenance of investor databases, pipeline trackers and distribution reporting

Requirements

  • Ideally, 8+ years experience in a private credit, syndications, or private side sales role at a reputable financial institution or asset management firm
  • Solid structured credit products knowledge
  • Strong understanding of private debt markets and investor dynamics
  • Experience managing multiple transaction workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management capabilities
  • English plus 1 Asian language a pre-requisite
  • Degree level education – Undergraduate/Masters Degree from leading universities
