You enjoy helping others and have a passion for the natural world. Outgoing and people-oriented, the highlight of your day is building and maintaining relationships with customers and team members. With customers, you’re friendly and encouraging and bring a “how can I help you” attitude to every interaction. You prefer a fast-paced environment where each day is different from the next, and you love to help wherever you’re needed. A self-starter and detail-oriented, you easily switch between multiple tasks while maintaining the focus needed to get every job done right.

We like plants, people, and beautiful spaces. John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape, and now, three generations later, we’re as committed as we’ve ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. Today we’re a team of a few hundred people, but our focus remains the same: working together to engage our community and share our passion for the beauty of the natural world. And we have fun doing it.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a member of our Greenhouse team, you’ll report to the Greenhouse Manager. Your primary focus will be helping our customers select annuals, houseplants, garden supplies, and patio tropicals for their homes. At the same time, you’ll keep the sales floor stocked, watered, and organized – all in line with our vision to be the most loved plant shop in the country.

YOUR IMPACT

• Model our Customer Journey: The 15:5 Rule, Be the Guide, Keep It Seamless, Forget-Me-Nots, and Close the Deal

• Own our Evergreen Guarantee™, the 100% customer satisfaction promise at the heart of our customer experience

• Support our Front-End team during backups at the cash registers by executing merchandise purchases, returns, exchanges, and encouraging customers to enroll in our loyalty program and advocate for our Community Round-Up partner

• Complete tasks and responsibilities, consistently referring to your weekly schedule, daily zone schedule, and side work checklists

• Complete daily watering schedules by plant type as directed by department Leads

• A reliable people-person committed to maintaining a positive attendance record

• A communicative team player willing to jump in and assist with a variety of tasks as needed

• Experience working in retail, preferred

• Weekend availability required
