Responsibilities

  • →Provide comprehensive, patient- and family-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
  • →Assess patients, identify clinical priorities, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
  • →Deliver age- and developmentally appropriate care while addressing each patient’s physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs.
  • →Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective patient care.
  • →Lead and support other assigned team members while promoting teamwork and a healthy work environment.
  • →Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions to improve outcomes.
  • →Provide patient and family education, health promotion, and emotional support.
  • →Maintain a safe, therapeutic, healing environment while protecting patient privacy and dignity.
  • →Practice with accountability, autonomy, professional judgment, and strong critical-thinking skills.
  • →Participate in shared governance, peer review, professional development, and initiatives that promote clinical excellence.
  • →Apply care management principles to support the efficient delivery of high-quality patient care.

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current South Carolina or compact-state Registered Nurse license required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
