Prototype Tooling Machinist/ Machinist II 1st shift

• →Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools.
• →Operate conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders
• →Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to create production tooling
• →Complete set-ups and operate equipment with minimal supervisions/assistance
• →Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
• →Select appropriate tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for efficient and accurate machining.
• →Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring devices.
• →Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and meet quality standards.
• →Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, material inconsistencies, and programming errors.
• →Maintain accurate production records, including job travelers, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
• →Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• →Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes.
• →Comply with all safety standards, company policies, and ISO/AS quality requirements.
• →Other duties may be added if necessary to meet business needs

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of prototype and tolling experience or evidence of mastery
• Proficiency with machining math, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong understanding of materials

• Technical/vocational training in machining
