Requirements
~2 min read- A willingness/curiosity to work with AI-driven finance tools, as a Company we are already using some AI tools, but we are looking to remove as many of our manual processes as possible so we can focus on more exciting things!
- Knowledge of accounting terminology, rules and legislation – we don’t expect you to know everything but to have a questioning mind and be happy to research things and speak up if you don’t know something.
- Experience with accounting systems – we use Xero mainly for accounting but are always on the lookout for new bolt ons which will minimise the admin work we need to do.
- Administrative skills - as a small team we cover a lot of areas, and all take on our share of the admin.
- Organisational and communication skills; staying on top of our tasks and communicating when we are behind (or ahead!) with things is key.
- Analytical skills and ability to detect inconsistencies, we take pride in delivering good quality financial information to the Senior Management Team, the board and our investors, and this is achieved by having good self-critical review processes to question things that look out of the ordinary.
- Prioritisation skills - as a small team in a dynamic business, priorities can change quickly so it is important we can prioritise the urgent things in line with goals of the team, or that we ask if we are unsure what is the most important thing.
- Data entry - there is an element of data entry with the role, although we are always looking for ways to automate and keep this to a minimum.
- Experience using Excel - we don’t expect super advanced skills, but at the very least a desire to research new ways of using Excel that will make our lives easier.
- A proactive and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.

- Curious mindset and enthusiasm for improving processes, including the use of AI and automation
- Be able to work well and thrive in a remote environment.
