Grade 12 - Mathematics Teacher (AP)

This position is located in Basra, Iraq. Basra is a vibrant city with a rich history and cultural heritage. It is also known for its beautiful beaches and lively markets.

This is a full-time position with up to 3-years contract. The contract may be extended based on performance and school needs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Grade 12 Mathematics Teacher to join our team in Basra, Iraq. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for teaching. As a Grade 12 Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing a stimulating and engaging learning environment for students.

- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the learning needs of students.

- Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and enhance their understanding of mathematics.

- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.

- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.

- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.

- Use technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience.

- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in mathematics education.

- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Mathematics or related field.

- Teaching certification or license.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching AP mathematics at an American high school level.

- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and teaching methods.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school staff.

- Proficient in using technology in the classroom.

- Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
