MYP Chemistry Teacher - IB and AP Experience

We are recruiting an MYP Chemistry Teacher for an IB school in Baghdad that also delivers an American curriculum.

This role is suited to a teacher who is IB experienced or certified, with the ability to also support or deliver AP-level content, combining inquiry-based learning with strong subject knowledge.

Deliver Chemistry lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
Apply inquiry-based teaching to develop critical thinking and scientific understanding.
Support progression into DP and AP science pathways.
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
Assess and track student progress in line with IB standards.
Create a structured and engaging classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues across IB and American curriculum pathways.
Uphold safeguarding and professional standards at all times.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
Valid teaching qualification or licence (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years' teaching experience.
IB MYP experience is essential.
AP teaching experience is required.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.

IB certification or official IB training.
Experience teaching DP Chemistry.
Previous international teaching experience.
