Secondary Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a British Pearson School in Baghdad, Iraq. As a full-time member, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards.

- Use a variety of teaching methods and techniques to effectively facilitate student learning.

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and personal development.

- Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, including exams, projects, and class participation.

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience for students.

- Stay up-to-date with current educational trends and incorporate them into lesson plans.

- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge.

- Supervise and support students during extracurricular activities and events, as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.

- PGCE with QTS awarded by the TRA. 

- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience at the secondary level.

- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

- Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.

- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
