The National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association ("NACCA") is dedicated to stimulating economic growth for all Indigenous people in Canada, driven by a network of over 50 Indigenous Financial Institutions (IFIs). Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Programs and Member Services. This role is responsible for leading the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs that support Indigenous Financial Institutions (IFIs) and their clients. 

 

The Director will oversee program strategy, budgeting, and performance while ensuring high-quality training, capacity-building initiatives, and measurable impact across the network. This is a key leadership position that works closely with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen programs and drive meaningful outcomes for Indigenous communities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Indigenous Entrepreneurship Program (IEP) initiatives. 
  • Oversee training and capacity-building programs, including mentorship and workforce development. 
  • Manage program budgets, financial reporting, and compliance with funding agreements. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IFIs, government partners, and key stakeholders. 
  • Monitor program performance using data, KPIs, and evaluation frameworks to drive impact. 
  • Ensure quality assurance through program reviews, policy development, and continuous improvement. 
  • Provide strategic updates and recommendations to senior leadership and the NACCA Board. 
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, events, and partnerships. 


Qualifications

Education

  • This position requires a minimum University Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Economics, or a related field.  
  • A Master’s Degree is preferred in Business Administration or relevant advanced degree.


Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program management, partnership development, or a related field.   
  • Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing programmatic initiatives.    
  • Prior experience working with Indigenous communities and/or organization is preferred. 


Abilities, Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth understanding of bureaucratic processes and organizational dynamics.   
  • Knowledge of Indigenous entrepreneurship and community development.    
  • Ability to negotiate sound agreements and partnerships effectively.   
  • Strong understanding of regulations and compliance issues relevant to partnerships.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging stakeholders and presenting ideas.   
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 applications.


Primary Location: Ottawa, Ontario. NACCA operates on a hybrid work model. Remote work arrangements may be considered based on organizational needs and role responsibilities.
