Connected Living (Activities) Coordinator

As our Full-Time ConnectedLiving (Activities) Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging programs and memorable experiences that enrich the lives of our residents every day. This position is designed to support and coordinate a variety of recreational, social, educational, wellness, and community-based activities that promote independence, engagement, and well-being.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities, events, and programs for residents.
- →Facilitate a variety of experiences including fitness classes, arts and crafts, games, educational programs, discussion groups, gardening, music, and social gatherings.
- →Encourage resident participation while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- →Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, outings, and themed community programs.
- →Create and distribute activity calendars, newsletters, flyers, and resident communications.
- →Collaborate with nursing, dining, and other departments to enhance resident experiences.
- →Maintain records related to program participation and activity planning.
- →Support community engagement efforts that promote connection, purpose, and lifelong learning. These responsibilities align with Connected Living programming designed to provide diverse recreational, educational, and social opportunities for residents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- One to two years of experience in activities, recreation, hospitality, senior living, healthcare, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging programs.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to manage activity schedules and documentation.
- A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older adults. These qualifications reflect the position requirements for Connected Living programming roles.
- Ability to read and speak English.
