Responsibilities

  • Be a mobility magician—help residents move with confidence, strength, and a spark of joy.
  • Turn therapy sessions into victories—celebrate every small step, stretch, or lift that brings independence closer.
  • Create personalized game plans (treatment plans) that match each resident’s goals and lifestyle.
  • Teach residents and their families tips and exercises so progress continues beyond sessions.
  • Team up with nurses, caregivers, and other wellness champions to deliver whole-person care.
  • Keep track of progress like a wellness detective—documenting successes and milestones along the way.
  • Be the friendly motivator, cheerleader, and coach our residents look forward to seeing.
  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Virginia or a compact state
  • Accredited Physical Therapy degree
  • Rehab or long-term care experience preferred, but passion for improving lives matters most
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communicator and collaborative team player
  • Compassion and genuine resident focus
  • Comfort with electronic health records and thorough documentation
