Our office is seeking to hire a qualified attorney for an Assistant District Attorney position. This is not an entry level position; it is a great opportunity for someone who has worked regularly in district and superior court, is proficient in the skills necessary to run either courtroom efficiently, and is ready for an opportunity to manage a full felony caseload. This prosecutor will be responsible for a wide variety of felony cases but will also train with our lead sexual assault prosecutor to learn how to prosecute sexual assault cases.
The applicant must be proficient in general courtroom practice, have some jury trial experience, enjoy trial practice, and have a strong work ethic. The applicant must be prepared to build their trial calendar and prosecute it fully, with an expectation that each trial session will result in a jury trial.
Our office has a staff of 25 people. Applicants must have great interpersonal skills and be drama free.
Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both. See the Education and Experience Equivalency Guide for details.
