As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces in accordance with established infection prevention protocols and healthcare cleaning standards. You will attend training classes, including new employee orientation and other available trainings.

Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $46,991.00

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.

  • Basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.

  • Ability to understand and follow directions.

We Will Be Recruiting For Multiple Positions With This Post. Your Application Will Be Considered For All Noted Open Positions.

  • First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Second Shift 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

The usual work schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays.  Flexibility is required for training and education purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.
 

 ABOUT BLACK MOUNTAIN NEURO-MEDICAL TREATMENT CENTER: 
Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability.  The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT: 
We are a specialized long-term care facility focusing on maintaining quality of life and dignity for adults with neurocognitive or neurodevelopmental disorders with coexisting complex medical and behavioral needs whose level of support extends beyond that which can be provided in family or community living settings.  We are committed to providing individualized compassionate care delivered by highly skilled staff.

DHHS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.  Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.

Positions in the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities shall be subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal record background checks. Also, the use of tobacco products of any kind including vapor products are prohibited from our campuses. All employees are required to adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy.

To be considered for employment, an applicant must be in good standing with the Health Care Personnel Registry and other licensing boards/agencies.

  • Applicants seeking Veteran's Preference must attach a DD-214 Member-4 Form (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) to their applications.

  • Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach an NGB 23A (RPAS), along with the state application if they are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing.

  • Applicants who are former member of either the NC Army National Guard or the NC Air National Guard, with honorable discharge and six years of creditable service, must attach a copy of the DD 256 or NGB 22, along with the state application.
