The School Principal provides leadership and management of all educational programs at the Lenoir Youth Development Center. This role oversees instructional staff, ensures compliance with state standards and special education requirements, and fosters a safe, structured learning environment for youth in the juvenile justice system. The principal supervises and evaluates teachers and support staff, coordinates professional development, and manages school operations including curriculum and data analysis. The position also collaborates with community schools, colleges, and state education officials to support student transitions and enhance learning opportunities.
Serving as the instructional leader, the principal promotes academic excellence, staff effectiveness, and positive student outcomes in alignment with the mission of the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Master’s degree in School Administration and a valid "A" or "M" NC teaching license.
