PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide direct psychological services within the Patient Care Units. This work includes emergency services, diagnostic evaluations, capacity restoration services, group and individual therapy services, and other treatment services for severely disturbed adults who reside in the eastern region of the state. The position may also provide supervision to Licensed Psychological Associates and practicum students/interns.
Salary Range: $79,770 - $100,000
*A Sign-on bonus of $15,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- Knowledge of core areas of normal and abnormal psychology include perception, motivation, development, learning, the biological bases of behavior, and psychotherapy.
- Skill in the provision of comprehensive psychological evaluations using objective and projective measures.
- Skill in providing an array of therapeutic interventions for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Knowledge of mental health systems and ability to integrate treatment resources.
- Ability to supervise master's degree level graduate psychology students and master's degree level psychological associates.

Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270) and two years of professional psychological experience, one of which must be postdoctoral. Refer to the law for specifics regarding experience requirements.
