The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.

Responsible for the pickup of soiled linen and the delivery of clean linen to all homes and program areas on campus; deliver incontinent products to all homes on campus, assist with the sorting and folding of soiled and clean linens as needed. Wash and sanitize laundry carts and the soiled linen room. Keep vehicle clean and sanitary at all times. Performs additional duties as requested by the supervisor.

Salary Range: $32,287.00 - $56,502.00

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

Working knowledge of vehicle utilized in performance of daily tasks
Ability to perform pre-operational check of vehicles/equipment
Ability to recognize emergency situations and follow appropriate procedures
Working knowledge of applicable traffic laws and other established regulatory requirements for daily task
Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions
