First Shift (United States of America)

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in an inpatient setting across our hospital campus. You’ll work with a diverse patient population, including trauma, bariatrics, pediatrics, and more, while focusing on early and progressive mobility from med-surg through the ICU. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of OT, OTAs, PTs, and PTAs, using cutting-edge rehab technology and safe patient handling equipment. You’ll be involved in patient care from initial mobilization to discharge planning, with a strong emphasis on family involvement.

Starting in med-surg, you’ll have opportunities to gain experience across various specialties, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and ICU as you grow in the role. We are also closely tied to the UNMC Physical Therapy program taking many students, assisting in labs and lectures, and supporting students learning. This is a fast-paced, team-based environment with plenty of room for professional development. If you’re passionate about inpatient care and want to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply and help shape the future of rehabilitation at Nebraska Medicine!

  • Daytime shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekend rotation: For those working a Monday-Friday schedule, there will be a weekend rotation approximately every 6-7 weeks. When working a weekend, you’ll have a flex day off both the week before and the week after.
