Responsible for the product's worldview setting and meta narrative copy; enhance long-term retention and emotional attachment through characters, storylines and thematic packaging (benchmarking narrative-driven merge products such as Gossip Harbor). Serves overseas markets; native-level English writing is a core requirement.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Contribute to the product's worldview setting, character design and narrative line development
- →Write in-game copy: story dialogue, quest text, event narratives and character lines
- →Collaborate with the localization team to ensure cultural adaptation and language quality of narratives in target markets
- →Work with operations / art teams to integrate narrative into LiveOps events and meta scenarios
- →Research narrative preferences and pop culture trends in target markets (North America / Europe)
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree or above in Creative Writing, Literature, Media, Drama, Game Design, Digital Media or related fields
- Native-level English writing ability (serving overseas markets; the copy IS the product)
- Strong storytelling and character-building skills; must provide a writing portfolio / script samples
- Understanding of and passion for narrative-driven casual games
- Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Published work or internship experience in game narrative / scriptwriting / content creation / screenwriting
- Multilingual ability (Chinese / others), beneficial for cross-market narrative and localization collaboration
- Familiarity with the meta structure of merge / simulation / narrative-driven games
