Fora is the modern travel agency, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs to build thriving travel advisory businesses. We're modernizing the $100B+ travel industry with AI woven through every part of the advisor's workflow, plus global supplier relationships, personalized training, and a vibrant community, all in one place. That's what lets advisors build businesses that scale, while their taste and service create trips no algorithm alone could plan. At the heart of it all is our mission: to help the next generation of travel entrepreneurs turn their love for travel into a fulfilling career, whether full-time or part-time.
The same idea shapes how we work. We're mission-driven and obsessed with our customers, and we believe humans and AI are both essential: the best work here comes from people and technology at their best, together.
Founded in 2021, Fora has grown to a team of 200+ full-time employees based in downtown New York City. In 2026, we closed a $60 million Series D led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, with continued backing from Thrive Capital, Insight Partners, and Heartcore Capital. We've been named a LinkedIn Top Startup (2024), one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies (2023 and 2025), and one of TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies (2026).
Come build something that hasn't existed before.
About the Role
~1 min readFora is building out its Data Science & Analytics team, and we're looking for a manager to lead our Marketing Data Science pillar. Fora operates a dynamic, three-sided marketplace connecting clients, advisors, and suppliers. Successfully measuring and optimizing our marketing and growth investments requires a solid marketing science foundation. As we scale our growth investments, this is a rare chance to build a marketing science function from the ground up.
You'll lead and grow a team of data scientists focused on understanding and optimizing the full customer lifecycle across our marketplace, partnering with our Growth and Marketing leadership team. You'll own marketing measurement end to end: incrementality, attribution, media mix modeling, and predictive models of customer value. We are looking for a player-coach — someone who is able to manage senior individual contributors while getting their hands dirty themselves.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead and grow the Marketing Data Science pillar — hire, coach, and develop a team of data scientists partnering with Growth
- →Set the pillar's objectives and priorities in partnership with marketing leadership, and own delivery against them
- →Own Fora's marketing measurement approach — incrementality, attribution, media mix modeling — and the standards behind it
- →Partner with the CMO and growth leadership on channel investment, funnel optimization, and lifecycle strategy
- →Review models and experiment designs, unblock hard problems, and set the standard for quality
- →Help shape the broader Data Science & Analytics function
Requirements
~1 min read- 7+ years in data science, marketing science, or analytics, including 2+ years managing data scientists or analysts. Experience at consumer or marketplace companies preferred.
- Deep marketing measurement expertise — incrementality testing, experiment design, causal inference, attribution, and media mix modeling.
- Track record of building or scaling a marketing measurement function, not just running one.
- Hands-on technical depth: advanced SQL, and proficiency in Python or another scripting language.
- Experience with machine learning models in production (LTV, propensity, or similar).
- Experience with a modern cloud data stack (e.g. Airbyte, BigQuery, dbt, Hex, Omni, or equivalents) and data modeling best practices.
- Experience using LLM tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex) to accelerate analysis and prototyping.
- A track record of hiring and developing strong data people.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, including with senior stakeholders.
