Join our Global Network Services team as an L2 Data / Wireless Network Engineer, where you will play a critical role in supporting enterprise network operations, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and assisting in deployment and implementation activities across enterprise customer environments.

This role is ideal for network professionals with hands-on experience in LAN/WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, and enterprise network operations who are looking to grow their expertise in large-scale global networking environments. You will work closely with senior engineers, project teams, and customers to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing network services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for enterprise data and wireless network environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, connectivity issues, and service requests within SLA timelines.
  • Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, and campus networking environments.
  • Assist in deployment, configuration, testing, and rollout of routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor network health and performance using enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco Prime, or equivalent platforms.
  • Support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Access Points (APs), CAPWAP/LWAPP protocols, and wireless connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Assist with wireless site support, RF optimization, roaming issues, authentication troubleshooting, and wireless security configurations.
  • Work with vendors and ISPs (Cisco TAC, carriers, OEMs) for issue resolution and escalation support.
  • Manage incidents, changes, and service requests through ITSM/ticketing platforms following ITIL processes.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in project implementations, maintenance windows, and change activities.
  • Collaborate with Network, Security, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support flexible shifts, including occasional weekend or after-hours work for critical deployments and incidents.
  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Network Operations and Support.
  • Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, HP, Palo Alto, Viptela, or equivalent enterprise networking technologies.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, wireless technologies, and network security concepts.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Wireless technologies including WLCs, APs, and Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
  • Understanding of wireless authentication and security concepts such as WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, and TACACS+.
  • Experience using monitoring and management tools such as Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM/ticketing tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and customer-handling skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced enterprise support environments.

Nice to Have

  • CWNA or equivalent Wireless Certification (Good to Have)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (Good to Have)
  • Exposure to Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, or Catalyst Center (DNA Center).
  • Basic understanding of RF concepts, wireless site surveys, and roaming technologies.
  • Exposure to network automation tools such as Python or Ansible.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or global customer environments.
  • Experience in Managed Services, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical industries.
