Substitute Teachers

Isidore Newman School seeks substitute teachers for the 2022-23 school year. Qualified applicants will have experience in education at the early childhood, elementary, middle, and / or high school levels. This role will be on an as-needed basis and will entail teaching students at a wide range of grade levels and in a variety of disciplines, based on the lesson plans and guidance provided by the primary classroom teacher.

The ability to forge relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries with students of all ages is critical for all members of the Newman faculty and staff. In this particular role, demonstrated skill with classroom management as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues will be critical. Substitute teachers are also called upon to step into additional roles as needed, such as assistance with snack and mealtimes or carpool.
