Internal Events Manager
Quick Summary
Event delivery Own the delivery of a defined set of events, from brief to post-event review, delivered across the UK, US and Australia, managing budgets, plans, milestones,
Newton’s growth is strong. We are now upwards of 700 people in the UK, and during 2026 we launched offices in the US and Australia. We are now looking for an experienced Event Manager to join our growing event team.
This is a hands-on delivery role reporting to the Head of Internal Events. You will work side by side not only with the events team, but also with our internal communications and engagement colleagues too, and because events matter to us, you will also build close relationships with key people across the business, from our newest graduate joiners to our Senior Partners.
You are joining at an exciting time. UK growth and international expansion mean we are challenging ourselves to make sure our events programme delivers both employee engagement and connection, and helps our teams deliver ever greater client impact.
Our fortnightly Review Days bring people from every grade and Cluster together to tackle our toughest client challenges. Our flagship events – Strategy Day, Activity Day, Charity Day, Christmas Party and Summer Weekend – build the relationships, belonging and energy that make Newton work. Together they give our people a reason to prioritise being in the same room, and they give our clients better delivery as a result.
We are redesigning that programme for 2027 for a bigger, more international business: in-country Review Days, a global Strategy Day, a clearer governance model and events that scale by design. You will bring creativity, structure and rigour to how we scale our events and keep the employee experience consistent.
Your remit will be varied. You will own some events from first idea to post-event review, guide and support our colleagues overseas (remotely from the UK), and for our larger flagship events, form a key part of an integrated team so that every detail is thought about and delivered. You will be excited by detail and plans, confident with budgets and financial value, and creative in how you deliver memorable moments that reflect our values and expectations.

Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale events for more than 600 attendees, including multi-day or multi-location experiences.
- Demonstrable ownership of significant project budgets, with accountability for evidence-based decisions about how spend is allocated across an event.
- The ability to manage a complex, fast-paced programme with structure, rigour and sound judgement.
- Strong supplier and agency management experience, including working in partnership with destination management companies: front-end briefing and proposal creation, negotiation, ongoing performance management and relationship building.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine commitment to creating inclusive, people-centred experiences.
- Experience gained in a corporate events team, an events agency or an agency working with corporate clients.

- Examples that illustrate a willingness to learn new software and to use AI to continuously improve our processes and ways of working.
Personal attributes
- Creative and excited by detail, with a strong sense of ownership of the attendee experience.
- Calm, structured and resilient in a fast-paced programme.
- Collaborative and inclusive, building trust with colleagues from new joiners to Senior Partners.
- Flexible and agile: events are not nine to five, and you are comfortable with the pattern of work that follows.
You will be based in our London or Oxford office, and you can choose which. Our events team works across both locations, so you must be willing and able to travel to either as required for full team meetings.
We like people to be in the office one to two days a week. Working from home is possible on other days where your office and event commitments allow. You will also travel to events, site visits and meetings in the UK. International travel is not required as standard but could be required by exception.
Our core events normally start on a Thursday evening and run throughout Friday, so you must be happy to travel and be away from home at least once a month. Our Summer Weekend runs Friday to Sunday, and we expect you to be on site throughout. Events are not a nine-to-five job, so we value flexibility and agility in how you work around them.
