As a Diesel Technician at Nextran, you’ll do more than repair trucks—you’ll help keep our customers moving. From diagnosing tough mechanical and electrical issues to tackling major repairs and preventive maintenance, you’ll put your skills, experience, and problem-solving abilities to work every day.

You’ll work hands-on with medium- and heavy-duty trucks, use advanced diagnostic technology, and take on a variety of repairs that keep equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready. You’ll also be part of a team that values quality workmanship, supports your growth, and recognizes the experience you bring to the shop.

As a Diesel Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers’ trucks running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll work hands-on with medium- and heavy-duty equipment, using your technical skills and diagnostic expertise to identify problems and get trucks back on the road.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• →Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and diesel-related issues.
• →Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to keep equipment operating safely and reliably.
• →Complete repairs ranging from routine maintenance and minor repairs to major component overhauls.
• →Disassemble and reassemble components accurately and efficiently while following manufacturer specifications.
• →Use advanced diagnostic technology, manufacturer software, and electronic tools to identify problems, perform repairs, and verify results.
• →Document repairs and services with clear, accurate, and detailed service notes.
• →Work as part of a team to deliver quality repairs and exceptional service to our customers.
• →Perform other duties as assigned.

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping trucks running strong? We’re looking for a dependable, safety-minded technician who brings technical skill, attention to detail, and a passion for quality work to the shop every day.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Hands-on diesel experience working with medium- and heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify problems and find effective solutions.
• A commitment to quality and safety with pride in doing the job right the first time.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical information, repair procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a positive, professional approach.
• Valid Driver’s License Required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Preferred. Employees must maintain any required endorsements, certifications, and qualifications necessary to safely and legally operate company vehicles.
• Comfortable using technology including computer systems, diagnostic equipment, manufacturer software, and electronic applications for diagnostics, recordkeeping, communication, scheduling, and other job-related functions.
