NFI’s community-based services assist in reintegrating court-involved youth into their communities after they have been committed to the Department of Youth Services (DYS).

The DYS Community Services Network program works to ensure youth have access to adequate necessities, such as clothing, housing, and food. It also assists youth in addressing medical and behavioral health needs, as well as educational and vocational needs, which includes Pre-HiSET, HiSET (GED) and individual tutoring. Support is provided through consistent supervision of youth on-site and in the community. The YSC also establish and maintain relationships with local community-based organizations and providers to meet the individualized treatment needs of each youth.
