Residential Counselor - Overnight

Finson Road is a placement for older adults, with prolonged mental health issues. Our residents require support and encouragement to remain as independent as possible. The Direct Care Counselor must possess skills to oversee and organize their shift, provide care management, supervise and assist in the development of skills and fostering abilities, in addition to providing nurturing support and direct care to our program participants.

An associate’s degree in human services or a related field would be preferred; however, equivalent experience is also acceptable. It is important for candidates to have the ability to recognize each of our clients’ uniqueness, needs and desires. Candidates must be flexible, possess the ability to be multi-tasked, and have a willingness to learn the clinical issues of individuals with mental illness, as well as the cognitive deficits and multiple medical conditions that accompany the individual during the aging process, more importantly how these work together.
