The ACE Assistant Store Manager will assist the ACE Store Director in establishing and maintain genuine customer care, accountability for the operation of the store insuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory, expense control, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Drives store sales by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer projects needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
- →Controls shrink, expenses and labor.
- →Ensures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
- →Assists in evaluating and reacting to performance issues.
- →Assists Store Director in training and development of store team.
- →Processes information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system. Assists with stocking of supply deliveries and back stock, including building and filling displays.
- →Operates and uses all equipment necessary to run the store.
- →Able to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations.
- →Ensures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures.
- →Follows all ACE programs/promotions.
- →Acts as Niemann Foods representative within the store and community.
- →Enforces safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.
- →Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manages 3-4 associates in the store.
- →Provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of the store and Associates.
- →Follows NFI policies and applicable federal, state and local laws.
- →Trains and develop Associates
- →Plan, assign, and direct work
- →Reward and discipline associates
- →Address complaints and resolves problems
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Possess product knowledge of hardware related products
- 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, Word and Excel a plus
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or associates
- Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, distribution, penetration, gross profit, and sales per associate hour)
- Some locations may require Power Industrial Truck Certification
