Responsibilities

Oversee operation of capital machinery, specializing in machine tool systems (milling, boring, turning, hobbing, grinding).

Optimize performance of equipment by implementing new capability (development of solutions to increase throughput and reduce cycle times using new tooling components/systems; programming techniques, control systems upgrades).

Troubleshoot machine failures to minimize downtime, while collaborating with machine maintenance and equipment OEMs.

Supports new capital procurement and the designs and arrangements of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.

Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment as a process owner (process, equipment, documentation, special training).
Hands-on experience in machining and troubleshooting of machines or being in a machine shop environment.
Experience with machine tool equipment and control systems (large CNC mills, lathes, hobbers, and grinders).
Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
US citizenship required.

Experience in machine tool design and maintenance.
Experience in programming CNC lathes, mills, and/or grinders.

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
