Defibtech is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead Defibtech’s product strategy, product portfolio, including upstream and downstream marketing activities and provide oversight to the Customer Service function. This role will ensure Defibtech develops, launches, markets, and supports products that meet customer and patient needs, drive business growth, and aligns with our global strategy. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for turning market opportunities into clear product plans, successfully guiding products through their entire life cycle, building market demand, supporting the commercial organization, and delivering strong customer experience
Responsibilities
~3 min read- →Partners with the Company’s executive team to establish the strategic direction, investment priorities, and multi-year roadmap for the Company’s global product portfolio, including automated external defibrillators, emergency medical services products, mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices, connected solutions, and future technologies.
- →Identifies global market opportunities and defines customer, clinical, patient, and business needs that inform portfolio strategy, product requirements, new product development, and market expansion.
- →Assesses the Company’s portfolio to identify short- and long-term gaps and opportunities, and leads cross-functional evaluation of strategic alternatives, including internal development, partnerships, technology licensing, and acquisitions.
- →Oversees the complete product lifecycle, from concept and development through launch, growth, maturity, and eventual sunset, ensuring products remain aligned with customer needs, market opportunities, clinical priorities, and business objectives.
- →Establishes effective product development and decision-making processes, including business cases, stage-gate reviews, executive approvals, and clear ownership and accountability.
- →Partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Service, Commercial Operations, and subsidiary regional business teams to ensure effective product development, commercialization, and lifecycle management, incorporating input from the Company’s Medical Advisory Board and other key stakeholders.
- →Establishes effective mechanisms to collect, evaluate, and act on customer, clinical, market, competitive, and product-performance insights to guide product development, improvements, investments, commercialization, and retirement decisions.
- →Partners with Commercial Operations to develop business cases, pre-launch marketing plans, product positioning, launch strategies, and the commercial infrastructure required for successful product introductions.
- →Ensures downstream marketing supports commercialization activities for the Company’s products and solutions, developing and executing strategies that build awareness, create demand, support revenue growth, strengthen the Company’s brand, and enhance market position.
- →Leads product launches and oversees positioning, messaging, sales tools, promotional materials, campaigns, digital content, customer communications, and market-development programs, ensuring Commercial Operations, distributors, customers, and internal teams have the tools, training, and information required for success.
- →Partners with Commercial Operations and subsidiary regional business teams to support sales growth, distributor engagement, competitive positioning, market development, and customer retention; monitor market performance, competitive activity, customer feedback, and campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies as appropriate.
- →Ensures all marketing materials, communications, and activities are accurate, consistent, compliant with applicable requirements, and aligned with business objectives and brand standards.
- →Provides executive leadership for the Company’s internal Customer Service function, establishing strategy, goals, performance measures, and processes that deliver exceptional customer experience and effectively support customers and distribution partners.
- →Uses customer inquiries, feedback, and service trends to identify opportunities to improve products, processes, training, communications, and the overall customer experience, while strengthening coordination among Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Operations, Service, Quality, and other internal teams.
- →Builds a customer-focused culture that drives customer satisfaction, loyalty, retention, and long-term business growth.

- →Actively supports compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including but not limited to FDA, Quality Management Systems Regulations, safety regulations, and applicable statutes).
- Participates on the Executive Committee in the development and execution of short-term and long-term business plans and in addressing immediate business issues.
- Provides functionally specific input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the Company.
- Promotes a company-wide understanding of key elements of our regulatory processes, compliance, and product launch strategies.
- Provides functional leadership and oversight in support of Defibtech’s mission, vision, and strategy.
- Establishes clear goals and objectives and provides ongoing feedback regarding performance against objectives.
- Ensures that all personal actions adhere to the ethics and compliance policies and establishes a work environment that promotes and ensures adherence to the ethics and compliance policies of the company.
- Ensures appropriate levels of accountability for decision throughout within the team/function.
- Communicates effectively throughout all levels of employees and cross-functionally within the organization.
- Leads and communicates to create an environment that fosters engagement and provides constructive and timely coaching and feedback to support a learning culture.
- Leads and manages employees in accordance with all policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant and progressive management experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Previous hands-on experience with medical device industry is required.
- Proven ability to develop and manage high performing teams focused on accountability and meeting and exceeding expectations.
- Strong work ethic and self-starter able to contribute both individually and as a leader with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional and personal relationships with key business partners, customers, employees, and peers.
- Superior communication, analytical, team building, and leadership skills.
- Primary setting is office-based. Remote capable position.
- Travel up to 50% including domestic and international.
- Sedentary work with frequent sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing and short durations of walking throughout location(s) and lifting up to 10lbs
