NinjaHoldings is seeking a self-motivated, intellectually curious Data Science Intern interested in the opportunity to grow and learn as part of a dynamic team. Our internship program offers an opportunity to work on real projects that move the business forward while receiving hands-on professional development.

When: May-August 2027

Location: Hybrid, downtown Chicago HQ (in-office 2x/week). Candidates must be local or able to relocate independently - relocation assistance is not provided.

Responsibilities

→Build predictive models to optimize lending decisions by using advanced statistical modeling and simulation techniques
→Use advanced data analytics to understand consumer risk behavior trends, their impact on the portfolio, and resulting business opportunities
→Establish key performance metrics and develop automated reporting dashboards using SQL and Python
→Design A/B testing for models and underwriting strategies, evaluate impact, and provide recommendations

Currently pursuing Bachelors' degree math, statistics, computer science, engineering or related field
Experience with data analytics and statistical modeling
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Programming experience with Python
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail
