Nitricity is reimagining how fertilizer is produced - using innovative technology to create a cleaner, more sustainable solution for agriculture. We are entering an exciting new chapter as we prepare to commission our first commercial manufacturing facility and bring our technology to market.
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to help build the financial foundation for this next stage of growth. You will support the full accounting cycle, strengthen the monthly close, develop cost and inventory accounting, and build scalable processes as we transition into commercial production. You will work across accounting and finance based on business needs, gaining broad ownership and exposure throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own key areas of the monthly close, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement support.
- →Support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash transactions, and general ledger maintenance.
- →Prepare budget-to-actual reporting, investigate variances, and communicate insights to business leaders.
- →Support cash forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, and capital-project analysis.
- →Coordinate audit and tax support, including schedules and general ledger reconciliations.
- →Support additional accounting, finance, and cross-functional initiatives based on business needs.
- →Partner with operations and engineering on manufacturing costs, capital expenditures, inventory, and project spending.
- →Support cost accounting and inventory processes as we move into production.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or both.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong learning ability in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure.
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory, or manufacturing operations.
What We Offer
~1 min readThe pay range for this position is $95,000-$120,000 per year, in compliance with California's pay transparency law (Labor Code Section 432.3). Actual pay within this range will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Nitricity's standard benefits package.
