The Senior Systems & Security Administrator is a senior, hands-on technical role responsible for the administration, security, and continuous improvement of NOBULL's technology environment. This role owns NOBULL's core cloud, identity, endpoint, network, collaboration, and security platforms, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

Working closely with the VP of Information Technology, business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers, this individual serves as a senior technical resource within IT, driving operational excellence, automation, and platform maturity. The role offers the opportunity to grow into broader technical leadership responsibilities as the organization continues to evolve.

  • Administer and support NOBULL's core technology platforms, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace, Freshservice, Cisco Meraki, Cloudflare, Zscaler, Huntress, Action1, Slack, Grafana, and other business-critical applications.
  • Manage platform lifecycle activities, including configuration, licensing, integrations, upgrades, monitoring, support, and retirement.
  • Ensure systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across the technology environment.
  • Manage identity, access, and endpoint security, including onboarding, offboarding, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, device compliance, security policies, and access governance.
  • Administer endpoint protection, vulnerability management, patching, certificate management, security monitoring, access reviews, and privileged account controls.
  • Investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents, and operational issues.
  • Partner with security advisors, managed service providers, and vendors to strengthen NOBULL's security posture and support compliance, audit, risk management, and control validation activities.
  • Develop automations, workflows, and integrations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, APIs, Python, and similar technologies.
  • Administer approved AI platforms and implement appropriate security, governance, and data protection controls.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, runbooks, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response planning and testing.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT team members and external service providers.
  • Lead technical initiatives and coordinate work across internal stakeholders, vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners.
  • Participate in platform evaluations, vendor selection, and technology lifecycle decisions.
  • Help establish technical standards, operational processes, and priorities for NOBULL’s infrastructure and security environment.
  • Serve as a Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure, security, identity, endpoint, and enterprise application issues.
  • Contribute to the continued maturity of NOBULL's technology operations and evolution of the IT function.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, Cisco Meraki, Cloudflare, and Zscaler.
  • Experience supporting AWS, Google Workspace, enterprise SaaS applications, and cloud-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, patching, security monitoring, incident response, and access governance.
  • Experience using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, APIs, Python, or similar technologies to automate operational processes.
  • Experience administering IT service management platforms and supporting incident, change, and service management processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to independently manage critical platforms, lead technical initiatives, and resolve complex issues.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, collaborate effectively across teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience supporting SOC 2, NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, or cloud-native services.
  • Relevant Microsoft, AWS, security, infrastructure, or IT service management certifications.
